Integrated Mission Display (IMD-820) is a large area multifunction display and VPX compatible mission computer. IMD-820 has 8"x20" display area with IR touch-screen capability. IMD-820 controls the avionics systems and generates flight/mission graphics and performs video overlays onto a dual redundant, separately addressable, two left and right 1280x1024 resolution half displays via one 2560x1024 resolution AMLCD.
IMD-820 is a large area multifunctional display which operates as a mission computer and display system packaged into one Line Replaceable Unit (LRU). IMD-820 has the capability to display sensor video, digital map and tactical symbology to Pilot. No single failure in the IMD-820 will render both the left and the right displays unusable.
IMD-820 has capability to display video, graphics, video with graphics overlay, split screen video/graphics and split screen graphics/graphics.
IMD-820 provides primary display of flight and cockpit management information and digital map capabilities for the operator with the capability of selection of various display page formats via touch-screen or control panel.
IMD-820 support the analog and digital input/output interfaces, USB 2.0, Ethernet and MIL-STD-1553 interface. The Ethernet interface allows operational software modification without removal of the system from the installed position.
IMD-820 includes the Display / Mission Management Operational Flight Program (OFP), i.e. software which performs complete display and mission management functions, data management and subsystems control functions for avionics systems to be interfaced with IMD-820.
